When we got to Duluth, it was unbearably hot. We’re talking 90s and sunny forecasted the whole time, an outdoor wedding, and indoor reception in a non-airconditioned building. Prepare your deodorant, folks! Since we arrived Thursday, stayed with K&J because they are the most laidback and generous people on the planet, we went into party planning mode. Aside from helping them set up and prepare for their big day, we got to walk the dogs at Park Point, aka the best beach on earth, ate at Uncle Louies, got to spend an afternoon with Jess, and even got to spend an evening at “home” with the bride and groom before their big day! AFter the wedding, we got to take the pergola Bryan had built for them to get married under out to the house they’d just bought and are waiting to move into! It was so exciting to see our new “home!”
We both looked out at that big, big lake and decided, not for the first time, that we have got to live on the lake someday. More on that later!
